Katherine qualified from Dundee University, in 2009. She then joined the Maxillofacial Department at NHS Forth Valley Hospital where she undertook minor oral surgical procedures.
Subsequently Katherine worked in the NHS Lothian Community Dental Service where she treated a wide variety of patients with special needs, ranging from dental phobia to medically compromised patients. She undertook further training in the Paediatric Department at the Edinburgh Dental Institute which gave her invaluable experience in dealing with children. Katherine obtained her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, in 2011.
She then spent a year as a Maxillofacial SHO at the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald before spending two years working in private practice in Sydney, Australia. On returning to Northern Ireland Katherine worked in a practice in Belfast before joining Saintfield Dental Care.
Katherine particularly enjoys oral surgery and dealing with nervous patients.
