Genna qualified from Glasgow University, in 2006. She then worked in a practice in Edinburgh before moving to a position with the Dumfries Community Dental Service where she worked with special needs patients, medically compromised patients, dental phobics and anxious children. Genna then took up a position in Glasgow Dental Hospital’s Oral Surgery Department where she performed regular minor oral surgery sessions. She obtained her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery in 2008.
A year was then spent in Australia working with the Queensland Public Dental Service before Genna returned home to work in the Ulster Hospital Maxillofacial surgery department where she gained further experience in surgical skills and trauma management before moving to Saintfield Dental Care.
Genna has a keen interest in treating children and nervous patients and in surgical procedures.
