Since moving to Peter some six or seven years ago I have received the most thorough dental care, as have the other three members of my family.

On entering the clean, bright and spacious reception area you are greeted by a friendly, efficient receptionist who invites you to take a seat in one of the large comfortable leather settees. Cooled water is always on tap. Waiting is not an issue here as appointments are usually on time. Peter’s treatment room is spacious, bright and airy with the latest state of the art equipment. Excellent treatment, complimented with comfort, is the key factor here. A ceiling mounted television is a definite distraction to what is going on. Not only are Peter’s dentistry skills to be applauded but he has an excellent manner which makes a patient feel very relaxed and in good hands. His follow up staff, i.e. the dental nurses and dental hygienist are clean, friendly and definitely competent.

Much thought has been given to patients needs and late appointments are available to accommodate working clientele which for my two sons is invaluable. The extra personal touch of a telephone call or text message reminding one of their forthcoming appointment has to be a bonus for those with a busy lifestyle.

During the time that I have been one of Peter’s patients I have had several fillings, two crowns and a bridge. The bridge I was very nervous about and therefore I can’t tell you how delighted I was with the outcome, it is true genius.

Just a letter of thanks for the service provided at my recent appointments. Being one who suffers from panic attacks and not having attended a dentist in 8 years I was very nervous about attending. Since Dr Peter Thompson opened for business in 2001, the efficiency of Saintfield Dental Practice has been second to none. Not only has the dental team provided first class dental care, the responsiveness and courtesy of the receptionists has ensured prompt appointments with enhanced flexibility of appointments provided by offering cancellation slots when available – often exceeding patient expectations.

The move to new premises in 2009 has introduced a step change in the standard of dental technology including provision of interactive screens and x-rays instantly available not only helping the dentist but also involving the patient in a pleasurable treatment experience.

The new high specification premises have been designed with the needs of disabled access and those with impaired mobility in mind. Other design aspects including screens also appeal to children. Most importantly all of this is provided at affordable prices.

I was at primary school when I broke my two front teeth. My previous dentist had tried, without much success, to repair the teeth. When I was older my previous dentist quoted me £350 to perform crown and veneers. Saintfield Dental Care took the effort to contact the NHS approval process resulting in no expense to me and it was the first dental practice that I allowed to administer two fillings at one trip. I have to state that I am an extremely anxious patient and would usually have needed two appointments, one for each filling.

I love the fact that you can see X-rays immediately on the monitor while sitting in the chair…From the first day I was seen I was put at ease and felt reassured by the dentist and I was very impressed with the modern technology, layout and cleanliness of the Practice. Since having my teeth fixed I smile more and am not self-conscious when in company. They have done a brilliant job and I have recommended the practice to my family and friends.

I wish to outline a few of the benefits and experiences I have had with my dental practitioner, Peter Thompson, as I have been visiting his practice now for over 8 years now.

My family, which includes two young children, enjoy our visits to the above dentist as from the moment we enter the surgery with it’s bright colours and children’s play area with TV, the children and I are set at ease.

As we move upstairs to Peter’s surgery again they run in as they know Peter very well now and he has a great manner with children and sets them at ease with the added bonus of a children’s movie on the screen above the dental chair.

For a busy working mum like myself the 24 hour reminder by text is a great benefit along with the added bonus of being able to attend the surgery in the evening after work.

The new premises look fantastic and make the whole experince of visiting our dentist an enjoyable experience as the staff are always courteous and helpful.

I find the level of work and guidance and explanation first class. Peter has a very relaxing manner which I find puts me at ease. The new surgery is a lovely place to visit with very clean and comfortable facilities. I always find it easy to get appointments that suit my schedule.

Saintfield Dental Care was recommended to me and although it means me travelling 40 miles the care and work are to the highest standards. I am delighted with my teeth now and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the practice to anyone.

Saintfield Dental Care has ‘friendliness’ as a priority with all the staff. The building itself has a clean fresh appearance with ‘thoughtful’ touches to enhance comfort. The staff are attentive and give their customers a feeling of importance – a refreshing feeling these days when life is so rushed and treatment is often carried out in a ‘conveyor belt’ manner. The professional approach is very obvious and I feel confident that my family’s dental care is of the highest standard. I am encouraged that my young daughter’s introduction to the dentist is so positive compared to my own when I was a child.

I have been a patient with Saintfield Dental Care for a number of years, both at their old and new premises. The new premises are excellent! Bright, airy and extremely welcoming and comfortable.

On two very recent occasions I have needed an appointment at very short notice I phoned and was given an appointment almost immediately which meant alot to me.

All the staff are so down to earth, friendly and make you feel completely at ease which to me is very important. I no longer dread going to the dentist which I’m sure not too many people can say.
